President Joe Biden today updated his goal of 100 million vaccines administered during his first 100 days in office to 200 million vaccines. "We met our first goal on day 58," said Biden. "I know it's ambitious, twice our original goal, but no other country in the world has even come close." Today is Biden’s 65th day in office; his 100th will be on Apr 30.The pace of vaccines is picking up significantly and now is averaging 2.5 million shots per day, with dozens of states announcing plans to open up vaccine eligibility to all adults in the coming weeks.
Alaska, Mississippi, West Virginia, and Georgia will allow all adults or residents older than age 16 to get vaccines beginning today.
