Krispy Kreme to sell a dozen glazed doughnuts for average US gas price

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Krispy Kreme is tapping its "strategic doughnut reserve" in an effort to offset high gas prices for Americans. The sweet treat chain announced this week that it will sell a dozen original glazed doughnuts for the average U.S. price of a gallon of regular gas. The offer will happen on Wednesdays from April 13 through May 4.Prices at the pump and energy markets worldwide have spiked in recent weeks amid Russia’s war with Ukraine.

Biden to allow higher ethanol fuel blend this summer in bid to lower gas prices

President Joe Biden is visiting corn-rich Iowa on Tuesday to announce he'll suspend a federal rule preventing the sale of higher ethanol blend gasoline this summer as his administration tries to tamp down prices at the pump that have spiked during Russia’s war with Ukraine.Most gasoline sold in the U.S. is blended with 10% ethanol.
