BBC presenter Lisa Shaw's death was due to complications from the AstraZeneca vaccine, a coroner has ruled. Lisa worked for BBC Radio Newcastle and died at the age of 44 in May this year after experiencing headaches a week after getting her first jab.
Newcastle coroner Karen Dilks heard that Lisa had suffered from blood clots in her brain, which led to her death as it caused a stroke. The inquest lasted for less than an hour and heard that the condition associated with the AstraZeneca vaccine was very rare. "Lisa died due to complications of an AstraZeneca Covid vaccination," the coroner said.
