Pharmaceutical giant Pfizer is said to want to inoculate babies as young as six months old but in order to do so, the firm needs to apply for authorisation in the next two months.
That timeline will reportedly depend on the findings of trials looking into whether the vaccine is safe and effective for those aged between six months and five years, reports the Mirror.
The Centres for Disease Control and Prevention currently recommends that anyone aged 12 and older should get a Covid jab to protect against the disease. Read
