Andy Murray 's grandparents received the coronavirus vaccine on the same day it was revealed the tennis star had contracted the virus.

The tennis ace was due to travel down under ahead of the Australian Open, when his positive test for coronavirus halted his plans.

The 33-year-old was set to step on one of the 18 charter flights laid on my the tournament.The same day his mother Judy took to Twitter to thank the NHS staff in Dunblane Victoria for looking after her parents while they received the vaccine.She posted a sweet snap of the pair in their masks.She wrote: "Jabbed.

Thank you scientists, NHS and everyone involved at Dunblane’s Victoria Hall who looked after them so efficiently and caringly."And many took to Judy's Twitter to comment.
