On Saturday Boris Johnson announced London and parts of the south east will be placed into a tougher new Tier 4 to tackle the spread of coronavirus.
Under the tighter restrictions, which came into force today, anyone living in London and affected areas in the South East are banned from flying abroad unless it's an essential journey such as a business trip.
The tougher rules affect everyone in London, Kent, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Surrey (excluding Waverley), Gosport, Havant, Portsmouth, Rother and Hastings, Bedford, Central Bedfordshire, Milton Keynes, Luton, Peterborough, Hertfordshire and Essex (excluding Colchester, Uttlesford and Tendring).
