All adults to be offered Covid vaccine by end of July under Boris Johnson's new accelerated roll-out plans

vaccine roll-out. Ministers had set a target to offer vaccines to all adults by September, with an aim to reach all those aged 50 and over in the first nine priority groups by May.

But the new target of July 31 will be seen as a sign of increasing confidence that the coronavirus vaccine supply will remain steady over the coming months.

The prime minister said the accelerated roll-out would help protect the most vulnerable sooner - and enable the easing of some lockdown restrictions. His new plans also pledge that all adults aged 50 and over – as well as those with underlying health conditions which put them at higher risk – will be offered a vaccine by April 15.Then, by the end of July, the remaining adults in the UK should have been offered.
