Born with an intellectual disability, she’s worked hard to overcome obstacles and be an active member of the Fort Collins community.
That includes taking public transportation or ride-sharing services to exercise at the Northside Aztlan Community Center, attend meetings and visit friends.
But those routines changed with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Suddenly, she was locked down, unable to meet face-to-face with anyone, including the service provider who helped her buy groceries and manage her finances.
