The debate over the origins of the Covid pandemic has been going around for a very long time. Now an international team of virus experts stated that the Covid origin may have started by raccoon dogs from China's Wuhan market, as reported by the Atlantic.

The analysis by the experts said the virus could have been ignited by an infected animal that was being dealt through the illegal wildlife trade.

As per the report, in January 2020, swabs from within and around the Huanan Seafood Wholesale Market were used to collect the genetic data.

This came shortly after the Chinese authorities had shut down the market because of suspicions that it was linked to the outbreak of a new virus.
