Actions taken by public needed for 'sustained period' - Reid

HSE Chief Executive Paul Reid has said there has been a "serious and continued escalation" of Covid transmission in the community, and that the actions taken by the public will need to be kept up for a "sustained period of time".

Speaking during the HSE's weekly Covid-19 briefing, Mr Reid swelcomed the fact that there has been a "very strong response from the public" to the situation over the past week to ten days, saying that many people have moved to work from home and have curtailed their social activities.
