WEST PHILADELPHIA - A 46-year-old man is dead after he was shot multiple times on a West Philadelphia street.16th Philadelphia Police District officers responded to the 4800 block of Wallace Street Saturday night, around 10:15, on the report of a person with a weapon, according to authorities.When they arrived, they discovered the victim on the street. He was shot in the back and abdomen several times.Police rushed him to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center where he died.Officials say no arrests have been made, but a weapon was found.

Leslie (Rescue One) SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - A 3-month-old dog rescued by law enforcement in Missouri arrived at a shelter shaved with swastikas and expletives drawn on her.Rescue One, a nonprofit animal rescue and vet clinic in Springfield, said the swastikas were all over her body, along with a message on her back: "Don't feed this (explicit) dog." Swastikas have become synonymous with hate ever since Adolf Hitler and the Nazis wore them in Germany during World War II."She is heading for the tub to scrub-a-dub-dub all of this hate off. LOS ANGELES COUNTY, Calif. - A family is grieving the death of a beloved mother and grandmother after the 76-year-old was hit by a school bus and died in La Puente.The California Highway Patrol, which investigates crashes involving school buses, said the incident happened on Monday, May 8 at around 2:20 p.m. on Hacienda Boulevard and Fairgrove Avenue. Blanca Arcelia Guerrero, the mom of 6, was crossing the intersection when she was struck by a Hacienda La Puente Unified school bus. The Medical Examiner's office ruled Guerrero's cause of death as blunt force trauma.

DES MOINES, Iowa - Two Iowa officers are being credited for saving a man's life after they saw he was about to jump off a bridge. Their dashcam recorded their heroic efforts. Des Moines Police said earlier this month, officers Destiny McGinnis and Tim Morgan were patrolling when they saw an SUV pulled over with its flashing lights on the side of the road going over the bridge. The officers saw two men standing were outside the vehicle. "We thought they were arguing," McGinnis said in a video news release. RELATED: Heather Armstrong, mommy blogger known as Dooce, dies at 47As soon as the officers got out of their car, one of the men climbed over top of the bridge's railing. The second man grabbed the suicidal man's leg to try and pull him back over. A June 24-30 survey showed 25.5 percent of respondents aged 18-24 years had seriously considered suicide in the past month.The officers intervened and also grabbed the man to pull him back to safety. "I think his shoe fell into the river when I pulled him over," McGinnis added. The officers held the man down until medics arrived. The man told officers he was upset that his mother had died a year ago, and he wanted to end his life. "I wanted to cry," McGinnis continued.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife on Friday shows a black bear pulling on a door handle and opening the door of a pickup truck.The video opened with the bear sniffing along the driver’s side of the silver truck parked on the side of the road. Once the animal made its way from the back bumper to the cab, it stood up and placed its paws on the handle of the back door.The door popped open, and the bear pulled it back even more, to reveal a red-and-white cooler in the back seat of the truck.The bear pops open the door.
