COVID-19 deaths Today we are sadly reporting the deaths of 18 people with COVID-19. These deaths take the total number of publicly reported deaths with COVID-19 to 1,172 and the seven-day rolling average of reported deaths is 14.
Of the people whose deaths we are reporting today; three were from Northland, two were from the Auckland region, one was from Waikato, one was from Taranaki, two were from Midcentral, two from Nelson Marlborough, three from Canterbury, two from West Coast and two from the Southern region.
One person was in their 50s, two were in their 60s, one was in their 70s, eight were in their 80s and six were over 90. Of these people, ten were male and eight were female.
