390 new cases of Covid-19 confirmed, no additional deaths

The Department of Health has announced an additional 390 cases of Covid-19 with 209 of these cases in Dublin. There has now been 35,377 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Ireland.

No more people have died from the coronavirus meaning the death toll remains at 1,802. In Northern Ireland, 220 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed bringing the total number of cases to 10,949.

There has been no further deaths in the region, meaning the official death toll remains at 578. A quarter of all new cases of Covid-19 in the last two weeks have been among younger people aged between 15 and 24.
