PHILADELPHIA - Authorities say at least three people were killed and at least a dozen others were injured in shootings across Philadelphia on Thursday.Six of the shootings happened within an hour span on Thursday afternoon, according to police.

Starting around 2 p.m., officers in different parts of the city responded to a pair of double shootings and a triple shooting.

Police said a young man was fatally shot in the head on the 400 block of Maton Street in South Philadelphia. Investigators did not identify the victim, but estimated him to be in his 20s.

A woman was also injured by gunfire in Kensington and an 18-year-old man suffered a non-fatal gunshot wound to the knee in West Philadelphia, police said.

Attorney Jeffrey Goodman, a partner at the firm representing the Anderson family, called TikTok a "dangerously popular app" and warned that what happened to Nylah could happen to any child. "The nature of the lawsuit is that TikTok, through their algorithms, decided that it was a good decision to send a how-to video to a 10-year-old on how to asphyxiate oneself," Goodman said.He explained that TikTok is unique from other social media apps and websites like YouTube. 1 killed, at least a dozen injured in Thursday shootings across Philadelphia, police say

PHILADELPHIA - Authorities say one person was killed and at least a dozen others were injured in shootings across Philadelphia on Thursday. Six of the shootings happened within an hour span on Thursday afternoon, according to police. Starting around 2 p.m., officers in different parts of the city responded to a pair of double shootings and a triple shooting. Police said a young man was fatally shot in the head on the 400 block of Maton Street in South Philadelphia.

18-year-old shot to death in West Philadelphia, police say

Authorities investigating device found inside car in West Philadelphia, police say

PHILADELPHIA - Authorities say they are investigating reports of a possible explosive device found inside a car in West Philadelphia. Officers from the Philadelphia Police Department and the bomb squad responded to the area of North 63rd and Media streets just after 4 p.m. Police said they received word of a grenade found inside a silver Chevy Trailblazer. A police staging area has been set up at the intersection of North Felton and Media streets.
