COLOMBO (News 1st): The Department of Examinations will set up 40 special examination centres for students exposed to COVID-19 to sit for the 2020 GCE Ordinary Level Examination, the Examination Department said.According to the Examinations Department, 50,000 officers will be directed to those centres.A request was submitted to the Director-General of Health Services to obtain the COVID-19 jab for teachers assigned for the special examination centres, Sanath Pujitha, the Commissioner-General of Examinations told News 1st.The 2020 GCE Ordinary Level Examination will commence on the 1st of March 2021 and will be held until 10th March 2021A total of 622,352 candidates are scheduled to sit for the O/L exam, which will be held at 4513.
